How long have you been with the company? Six months on 9th November 🙂

Hobbies and passions: Yomping around the countryside with my friends and my dog, spin classes, hanging out in my garden, travelling, baking – and eating – cakes, drinking wine.

Fun facts:

• I spent a year living in Martinique, a French island in the Caribbean, when I was at university. On my way home, a French check-in agent in Paris assumed I was French – best compliment I’ve ever had!

• I was on Saturday Superstore as a child (Google it if you’re too young) and got the autographs of John Craven, Keith Chegwin and Mike Read (80s kids’ TV royalty).

• I fell off a horse and broke my arm when I was 10. Embarrassingly the horse was stationary at the time.

Favourite books, movies, or TV shows:
‘I Capture the Castle’ by Dodie Smith, and’ A Town like Alice’ by Nevil Shute are longtime favourites, but I’m currently loving the JK Galbraith ‘Strike’ series – both the books and the TV adaptation. Mad Men, The Wire, Six Feet Under and Happy Valley are some of my favourite TV series.

I’m quite good at watching a film and instantly forgetting it, but I can remember The English Patient, Dirty Dancing, and The Breakfast Club, so they must have been memorable (showing my age there!)

Ultimate meal: Years ago I went to Heston Blumenthal’s restaurant, The Fat Duck, and had the tasting menu which was incredible. 

Best piece of advice you’ve ever been given: Worry about what you can control, don’t waste time on what you can’t control.

Favourite quote: The one I use the most is ‘life’s too short’ (usually when referring to going on holiday, eating cake, or drinking wine).
