Victoria’s 2021 reminisce-athon

In many ways, the awards industry is a funny old thing. We often do an office poll revolving around ‘how many awards programmes do you think there are in the entire world?’ – it’s impossible to know the exact figure, but ‘a lot’ would seem to sum it up. There’s an award for everything – if you can think it, it’ll be out there! And what a joy that is, really. That we, as a global community, take every opportunity we can to celebrate others, and highlight their achievements – regardless of the sector or industry.

What’s been lovely in 2021 is seeing how so many awards bodies have adapted their processes, categories, and events to ensure their programmes can carry on, despite the continued efforts of a certain virus to thwart our plans.

All of our stalwart clients pushed on with their awards, achieving similar – if not more – entry numbers as previous years. Live events were still in short supply (although Creative Circle hosted an astonishingly brilliant in-real-life Creative Festival at Dreamland Margate in September), but most embraced the virtual world, and did it with aplomb. Only time will tell if we shall once more be able to gather, to hug, and to celebrate together at ceremonies in 2022. We have everything crossed for that.

We were also thrilled to welcome a vast number of new awards to the AwardStage family. From the Australian Influencer Marketing Council Awards, and the Young Green Leaders Awards (hosted by Green School Bali), to the Bristol Young Heroes Awards and the Sports Business Journal Awards…and all sorts inbetween!

The AwardStage team has continued to work hard behind the scenes, adding new features, and improving existing ones, as well as the day to day support that we provide. We’re also very excited about some VERY big news to come in 2022 🤩

The feedback we receive from every client, entrant, and judge is invaluable, and we genuinely take on board everything we hear. It’s heartening that our average feedback from entrants stands at 4.5 out of 5, with judges rating us at 4 out of 5 for ease of use – we know that it’s just as much about their user experience as it is for that of Awards Managers.

Literally the easiest awards entry process ever”

Entrant, 2021 Creative Circle Awards

A very well designed platform, that made the judging process very straightforward”

Judge, 2021 Schroders UK Platform Awards

If you’d like to have a chat about your plans for 2022, we’d love to talk to you. We can offer advice on process, as well as give you a run through of the system. We’re also excellent at talking about the weather, dogs, and who should win Strictly Come Dancing this year.

So, on that note – and with only a few working days left until I sign off for the festive period (anyone else left with a tonne of annual leave in December, pretty much because holidays just haven’t been a ‘thing’ for nearly two years?? Weeping right now!!), I wish you all a restful, peaceful, and healthy Christmas time. See you in 2022, if not before.

Victoria x
